Executive education at Carnegie mellon university in qatar

At Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar we do open enrollment Executive Education courses for partner institutions that have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the university and a few other select organizations. Over the past two years I have taught the courses below. In addition, we are continuing to do work to develop custom executive education programs for local institutions in partnership with the Tepper School of Business.


Dynamic Organizational Leadership

Dynamic Organizational Leadership is a three-day course that explores topics such as "Level 5 Leaders, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership Development, and Leading Through Networks".  The course combines real world experience, case situations, and research-based findings to help leaders get a fresh perspective on leadership.

Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

Negotiation and Conflict Resolution takes participants through the core negotiation concepts such as BATNA, ZOPA, and Win-Win solutions. In this three-day course we use multiple negotiation exercises throughout the course to give you hands on experience negotiating with a partner and with a small group. This course is designed for professionals interested in developing their ability to wisely manage conflict and successfully negotiate mutually satisfying agreements in a business context.

Decision Making in Groups and Organizations

Decision Making in Groups and Organizations uses both teams decision making exercises as well as traditional lecture format to discuss aspects of group and individual decision making. Topics include decision making with imperfect information, decision bias, and techniques to improve group decision making. This course is designed for professionals interested in developing their decision-making skills and leading teams and organizations to make more effective decisions.

Managing Groups and Teams

Managing Groups and Teams uses an applied, experience-driven learning approach to help participants learn how to better manage and participate in teams. Topics include reducing process loss and coordination, managing emotional and creative conflict in groups, and getting the most out of diversity in your global teams. This course is designed for professionals interested in developing their team management skills, getting the most out of their people, and working with diverse groups.
